Are there any sociopaths who have learned to be normal members of society?
I know not all sociopaths won't become serial killers, but they lie, cheat, steal, use or otherwise just treat people like crap without guilt or shame. But they must know intellectually that their behavior is wrong or at least socially unacceptable.
So does anyone know of examples of sociopaths who resist their natural tendencies just so they can get along in the world?
I think you misunderstand, MrClegg. And thus haven't answered the question.
Sociopaths do their wrongdoings *without guilt or shame*. THAT is the key. Almost everyone has done *something* wrong in life, whether big or small. But it usually affects one's conscience. A sociopath doesn't have a conscience to affect.
